Fressnapf, Europe's largest specialty pet retailer, runs an e-commerce app with millions of users across multiple European countries. With such scale, even a single defect in production could impact on customer trust and revenue. To stay competitive, Fressnapf needed to strengthen its QA capabilities beyond the limits of its internal team:

  • Business risk: Millions of users and high transaction volumes meant critical bugs in production could directly harm the customer experience.
  • Capacity gap: The internal QA team was too small to keep up with new features and regression coverage.
  • Expertise need: Senior automation and CI/CD knowledge were missing to secure fast, stable releases.

OTM solution

OTM suggested Andrii, a senior QA automation engineer and full OTM employee (socially insured, EU resident), into Clients QA and DevOps setup. From day one he took ownership of automation and quickly became a driver for both delivery and team growth.

  • Full ownership of mobile automation (Java, Cucumber, Appium, Selenium) and API tests (RestAssured), also built frameworks with Appium, Robot Framework
  • CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins - setup, optimization, regression suites
  • Performance & load testing with JMeter together with DevOps
  • Team scaling: onboarding and mentoring juniors, guiding them into frameworks and QA practices
